County Assistance
The Department of Human Services will provide payment for burial and cremation for those individuals who are eligible:
Cremation
- Professional services of funeral director and staff and completion of documents
- Transportation of your loved one into our care
- Alternative cremation container
- Cremation in our on-site crematory
- Standard black plastic urn
- Help with writing and submitting obituaries
Burial
- Professional services of funeral director and staff and completion of documents
- Transportation of your loved one into our care
- Help with writing and submitting obituaries
- Transportation to cemetery

Body Donation
Whole Body Donation is a “no cost” option available to those looking to contribute to advances in science and medical research.
All that is required for acceptance is a brief phone interview.
Once accepted into the program, Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care takes care of the rest.
Whole Body Donation includes:
- Professional services of funeral director staff and completion of all required documents.
- Transportation of your loved on into our care.
- Coordination with donation program.
- Cremation.
- Help with writing and submitting obituaries.
- One certified copy of death certificate.
- Return of cremated remains to the family within four to six weeks.
