Barnes Allen

Barnes was born the son of the late Arthur and Ruth Allen on October 3, 1946. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 16, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Adrienne who would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2022; his daughter Alana Mechem of Michigan; his son Barnes “Pete” Allen, Jr. and his wife Kristine of Butler, PA. Three grandons Andrew Mechem of Lima Peru, Cameron and Tristan Allen of Butler, PA and a granddaugther Chloe Dettloff and husband Chase and one great grandson Auron Dettloff all of Sterling Heights, MI. Also his sister Virginia Sestito of Fort Meyers, FL. He is also survived by his very best friends and family, Jack and Doris Bauer and their daughter Dawn; his sister in law Rebekah Fizer as well as many nieces and nephews. Also, we can’t leave out his “fur-baby” Pansy and a very close buddy and friend David Mechem of Grand Blanc, Mi.

Barnes was a member of the Waynesburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and he will also be sadly missed by many close friends from the congregation. He was also a member of UMWA Local 2300.

In addition to his parents, Barnes was preceded in death by his daughter Natalie Elizabeth Allen, a brother Lloyd Allen and sisters Shirley Zeek of Georgia and Martha Allen of Florida. He was also preceded in death by a very close and personal friends, Rodney Fizer and his father and mother in law, John and Helen Fizer who he deeply loved.

A memorial service will be held on October 2, 2022 at 4 PM via Zoom. If you would like to attend virtually, please contact the family for the Meeting ID.

I knew Barnes as a kind, warm brother who always showed interest in me personally whenever we talked. He will be missed but he surely is in Jehovah's infinite memory and will be called by him and he will hear his voice.
