It is with the heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to the Legend, William Daniel Murphy. He will be missed by many including his wife, Leona, his five children, his 10 grandchildren, and his 7 siblings. He was so many things to so many people. As a husband, he was the rock, the fixer, the person you hate one minute and love the next. As a father he had the ability to bring clarity and sound judgement to the darkest of situations. He always had the right answer. He was the one to calm you down, take care of the problem or walk you through it. As a grandfather “Pap” knew what each kid liked the best and stocked up on it. He was both feared and loved. As a friend he was the joker. He could create stories and leave you speechless. His curiosity for life and his hobbies were infectious. We will forever have a touch of gold fever thanks to him. He loved riding his motorcycle, shooting guns, and panning for gold because who knows the next pan might be the one with the giant nugget. When he was interested in something, he went all in. Just in case you didn’t know he was the best at everything he did, you should have asked him. He was loved more than he will ever know even though his words of affection could sound like “dummy” or “stupid” which he always got away with because nobody dared stand up to a man his size! He is leaving an irreplaceable hole in so many lives. Even as we ache with your loss we can hear your words of wisdom ringing in our minds and hearts. Forever in our hearts until we see each other again!

Bills family will be hosting an Irish wake per his wishes on March 20, 2020. Text his daughter Amanda for details at (724) 494-2144. Please come out and celebrate Bill’s life.
