Grant Louis Nelson, age 20, of Peters Township passed away suddenly on October 12, 2021.

Born on April 24, 2001, in Pittsburgh, he was the beloved son of Darlene and Shawn Nelson.

Loving brother of Rebecca Nelson and Leah Nelson; adored grandson of Irene and Daniel Damratoski; cherished boyfriend of Kelly Kotson; also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Grant is in preceded in death by his grandparents Sharon and John Nelson.

Grant was caring  and determined, he was always striving for goals  that were amazing to consider, but he always set them aside to help those he cared for. Grant was a 2019 graduate of Peters Township High School. He was currently  studying business at The University of Pittsburgh and formerly a student of The University of Oregon. He loved football, wrestling and hanging out with his friends.   He was an amazing cook, and loved to fish. You could find Grant working on cars or finding a new project to build that he would later show off to everyone. Grant had a smile that lit up the room and he made you feel like everything in the world was innocent and blissful.   He always supported all of his family and friends. Grant will be remembered for his passions, wit, charm, love and famous red hair. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The world really lost a great one.

Family and friends are welcome, Sunday October 17, 2021 from 12-5 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the funeral home at 10 am.  Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, hug a loved one for an extra long time, today and tomorrow.
