Albert “Jim” Shore, age 88 of Peters Township, PA passed away surrounded by family on July 9, 2022. Born on April 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Margaret and Philip Shore. Beloved husband to Dorothy “Dot” A. Greil Shore for 64 years. Loving father to James (Susan) Shore, Judith (Robert) Ferree and Janice (Michael) Buys. Cherished “Genius Man” to Ryan (Chelsey Smith) Shore, Shawn (Marikate) Buys, Brendan (fiancée Rhya) Buys, Ashley (Trevor) Farrar, Matthew Ferree and Christopher Ferree. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Ruth Mackey, Dorothy Klein, William Shore and Robert Shore.

Jim was an avid golfer and bowler. He was an active member of St. John XXIII (St. Benedict Abbott). Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 3 PM – 8 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10 AM at St. John XXIII (St. Benedict the Abbot), 120 Abington Drive, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be in Jim’s name to the Make a Wish Foundation.

Jim touched many lives in a positive way. His kindness, caring, and generosity will always be remembered. I had the honor and privilege of being Jim's golf partner the past 8yrs, and admired the passion/pride he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity of knowing him.
