Andrew J. Hubbard

  • On September 11, 2019

Andrew Justin Hubbard (AJ to most, Bubba to his Mother), age 35 of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on September 6, 2019. Born on April 25, 1984.  The son of Krista Hertzog Snider (Michael) and James L Hubbard (Ann).  Grandmother Janet Hertzog and loving brother to Jaime Burks (Wes).  AJ is also survived by his niece Aurora and nephew Archer Burks, and many other loved relatives.

AJ had a good sense of humor and a huge heart. He was a highly talented artist that had a love for the outdoors and all animals, especially for his fur son Charlie.

One of AJ’s final poems written was entitled “Grow”.

From the steps we have taken that made us fall,

For the steps we have taken made for all.

Feelings of freedom and a new found direction,

Universal love with new found complexion.

Refreshed from the start,

Never have had such an open heart.

Brightness has come to me,

through sprouting trees and open seas.

My spirit is now alive,

Through views of the world with open eyes.

Was on a path full of hate,

Only to change and then recreate.

A private memorial will be held at his mother’s home for immediate family and close friends. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.

The family asks that donations be made in Andrews honor to Animal Friends – Pittsburgh

AJ, You are so deeply missed by your nephews Cassidy, Zane And Xander. Without you they wouldnt be the beautiful people they are becoming. Im not sure what to do without you buddy. Not an hour goes by that Im not asked "Why" and I wish I had an answer. I keep wandering around my house wondering where then hell you went to; then I remember. Were broken. I look around and everything I have has your fingerprints on it. Every patch of drywall and sparkplug on my motorcycles, beers in my fridge, and boards on my sons jungle gym. Thank you for being my friend... I just wish I had the answers you needed.

Aj, Words can’t even begin to describe how deeply saddened I am that you’re gone. Even though we both had very busy work schedules, there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t wonder if you were ok or wonder how you were doing. I knew you suffered from depression, but I honestly never thought it would have ever knew came to this. I am honestly torn. I still remember all the great memories we had hanging out at Hans’s house, your parents house in Lincoln Place, and all the fun times we had riding quads, fishing, and hunting at your grandparents farm house. I will never forget them and they will always be remembered. My heart seriously hurts for your mom Krista and dad Mike. They are both amazing people. My deepest condolences go out to the both of them and your family.

AJ will be missed more than words can describe and we can all say we were happy to have him in our lives. He had a cool personality and was a charismatic handsome guy that could light up the room with his smile and laughter. We will all remember the good times and memories we had with him. I wont forget he was always a great friend and the most fun and funny guy to be around. He was outgoing, kind, worked and partied hard and always treated others politely with positive energy and I’m happy to know he was an animal and nature lover, I hope he is somewhere peaceful now. Sincere condolences to AJ’s mother, father and his sister and all those in his family that loved him the most. I will miss you bro! 🖤
