Ann M. Carlin, formerly of Hermitage, PA, passed away in Strabane Woods of Washington Assisted Living at the age of 94.
She was born in Cherry Valley, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Magdalena Mocek.
Mrs. Carlin graduated from Clarion State Teacher’s College with a degree in biology and did graduate work at Penn State University. She taught for many years in the Greenville, PA and Hermitage, PA school districts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. Carlin.
Surviving are a daughter Patricia (Kenneth) Hartenbach, and grandchildren Daniel (Stacy) Hartenbach and Kathryn (Andrew) Sitek.
Deceased in addition to her parents are brothers John and Joseph Mocek; and sister Rose Russell, Mary Malachosky, and Magdalene Magliocco. She is survived by her sister Eve Mocek of Santa Rosa, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a member of the College Club of Sharon, and the Hermitage Women’s Club. She was a member of Notre Dame Church and actively volunteered there, as well as at the Hermitage School Libraries and Prince of Peace Soup Kitchen.
She enjoyed bowling, 500 bid cards and was an avid gardener.
Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
