Anthony W. Nassida

Anthony “Tony” W. Nassida Sr., age 84 of Monroeville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 1, 2017. Born on September 7 1932, he was the son of the late Catherine and Vincenzo “James” Nassida. He was the loving husband of Judith of 32 years; cherished father of Anthony Nassida, Jr. and step father of Edward (Cheryl) Slagle, Brett (Patty) Slagle, Helene Hopkins, Beth (Duane) Graham and Scott Slagle; he is survived by numerous grandchildren, especially Ken and great grandchildren. Anthony was the youngest of 12 children and suvived by one brother, Frank (Joe Ann) Nassida.

He was an avid sports fan, but his #1 team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a Monroeville police officer for 25 years. 

Burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:30PM with full military honors.
