Anton Reilly Dissen “Tony”, age 84, of Bridgeville, PA passed away on Thursday, July 29th, 2021.  Born on February 17, 1937 in Crafton Heights, PA; beloved husband of Jeanne Thomas Dissen for 62 years, over which time providing her with love and care had become his primary mission, and loving father of Michael (Shari) Dissen, Daniel (the late Donna Jean) Dissen, Kathy (Lenny) Poliziani, and Kelly (Sam) Grande.  Tony was the son of the late William P. Dissen and the late Kathryn Reilly Dissen and dear brother to the late Mary Lou (the late Kenneth) Brickner and James (Shirley) Dissen.

Tony attended St. Philip grade school and St. Luke’s High School where he enjoyed raising hell and playing football for The City of Pittsburgh. He was a proud Marine Corp Veteran and a dedicated Lieutenant for The Mt. Lebanon Police Department, where he served for 29 years. Tony was a life-long Pittsburgh resident, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was a devoted fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers.  Known affectionately by his children’s friends as “Mr. Dis”, he took great joy in coaching Bower Hill little league baseball and girls’ softball as well as Our Lady of Grace football when his children were young.  Tony was an avid reader, a man known for his countless one-liners and his candid nature.  Tony either made you laugh, or you walked away shaking your head.

In addition to his wife and four children, Tony was a loving grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 3 and had several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. We worked together at MLPD..... he was truly one of a kind. You always knew where you stood with Tony.... he was consistent and fair which is all you can ask of a supervisor. RIP my friend.
