Barbara Belko

Barbara Robbins Belko, 76, of Philipsburg, PA, passed away on August 11th, 2024, at Mt Lebanon Rehab & Wellness Center in Mount Lebanon, PA.

After graduating Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School, Barb worked as an airline stewardess for Allegheny Airlines (later US Airways), and spent many years flying abroad while living in Sewickley, PA. During her career, Barb received several accolades for outstanding customer service and excellent reviews. She was known by her coworkers for her charismatic charm, style, and wit.

After retirement, Barb volunteered the majority of her time to the aid of animals. She was philanthropic toward animal causes and adopted many dogs over the years, all of whom she loved and cherished deeply. Those close to her later in her life will remember Barb for her generosity, humor, and unwavering love for dogs.

Barb is survived by nephew Aaron Long, of Pittsburgh, PA, and niece Jennifer Robbins, of Philipsburg, PA.
She was preceded in death by brother Richard Robbins, brother Ted Long, mother Shirley Thompson Long, and father Clifford Robbins.

As per Barb’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be sent to Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue of New Castle, PA.
