Barbara Kornprobst

Barbara J. Kornprobst, of Somerset, PA, passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on August 28, 1960, in Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Clara Mae Snyder.

As an avid reader with a curious spirit, Barbara possessed a lifelong love of learning. She enjoyed writing, calligraphy, and freehand illustration, as well as playing the flute and piccolo. Bookstore cafés often became her favorite retreats, tucked behind stacks of books alongside a Lego set for her grandchildren. Meals at Kitchen on Main brought her joy in the company of friends and family. She also delighted in traveling, trying new cuisines, and creating magical moments for the people she loved.

Barbara will be remembered for her unyielding kindness and her charming wit. Her uncontainable ambition for enjoying life was expressed in her grand gestures and everyday moments.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kevin Kornprobst; her daughter, Brooke Ogline; her son, Brandon Kornprobst; and her three grandchildren, Lydia, Isaac, and Milo. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who loved Barbara to honor her memory by donating to their local library or animal shelter.
