Betty Murdy, age 82, of Hendersonville, formerly of Canonsburg passed away peacefully December 9, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Steve and Jean Backner; mother of Ralph S. (Rose) Murdy of Donegal, PA, and Betty Jo (Harry) Hayman of Hendersonville; grandmother of Harry T. Hayman Jr. and cat-cuddles; sister of Patricia Martin of Meadville, PA, Ronald (Shirley) Backner of Evansville, IN. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother James Backner of Canonsburg, Robert Backner of Canonsburg and Larry Backner of Seagerton, PA.

She was a member of the Slovak Club in Canonsburg. She enjoyed playing poker machines, music, dancing and bingo. Betty will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
