Brandon Michael Retos, 38, of East Washington, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29th, 2021, following a long struggle with addiction. I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Brandon, but have sympathy for anyone who suffered with drug addiction. By including that fact in his obituary, you may save another’s life. No one using drugs ever thinks an overdose leading to death can happen to them— they have a “handle” on it, they are too smart. To see in black and white in a newspaper obituary that this, too, could actually be their fate, may be a wake up call. Thank you. This could be that little piece of “good” that can come out of this tragedy. Again, you have my condolences.
