Brian was always one of our favorite “neighborhood kids” who grew up across the street from us. We traveled to Montana together and went on numerous camping trips. He was always upbeat and fun to be with. Mary Jane and I are very sad and sorry to hear learn about his death.

My deepest sympathy to everyone in the family and to 4 amazing children. Just this past Easter, the brief time we were together, we talked about last year at SandCastle with the kids and couldn't stop laughing. But mostly we talked about Amazing Grace and the Reckless Love of GOD. We talked about how we lean on HIM for strength and direction, knowing we fall short. But when we do fall or make a mistake, we fall forward to HIM now. I am so grateful for this moment, the restoration process that was being done with the family, seeing his love for his children, etc. Brian, I love you! You are and forever will be, my brother!

It’s hard to put into words what it was like for our crew growing up, to have a leader like Carn. We are all brothers today, and we lost our big brother. Brian’s smile is legendary. It was even better when we would laugh out loud, which happened every time I would see him. Two weeks ago, “uncle” Brian stopped by and hugged my boys and Jackie like he always did. He talked about the fun he was having with his kids and wanting to go fishing with our boys this summer. Brian taught me how to fish, among many other things. My love for the outdoors came from him. I think of him when I’m fishing and teaching my boys what Brian taught me. When he was with you, he was your best friend. Heart of gold. I’ve never seen seen anyone have the power to smile and draw people in like Brian Carnevale. The only place it didn’t work was boot camp lol. Drill Sargent would yell and say you better not smile Carnevale...and he couldn’t hold it in. He was always incredibly loyal, and fun to do anything with. I can speak for your brothers when I say we love you and will always cherish the many memories we have with you!
