Broderick L. Barclay, 72 of Moon Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born in Canonsburg, PA on June 21, 1950, the son of the late Payton and Mary Barclay. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member and Elder in the Church of God in Christ organization. Beloved husband of 46 years to Susan and loving father of Megan, Andrew, Amanda, and Aaron. Stepson of Patricia Barclay. Brother of Tracy, Germicka, and Tanisha Barclay, Beverly Hickman, and the late Payton Ross Barclay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Broderick was a graduate of Washington High School of Washington, PA where he was a part of track and field, football, and basketball teams. He also sang in his local church choir and was an avid sports fan and action movie buff. Broderick loved photos and in his own way was an amateur photographer.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 10:00 am for viewing. Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 am. Both services will be held at Morningside Church of God in Christ, 5173 Dearborn Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15224. Burial with military honors will follow at 1:30 pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA, 5405 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
