Carol R. Woodring, age 65, beloved wife of George Woodring, Jr., passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025.

Carol was born on September 17, 1960, in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Mary and Lloyd Kirschner.

She was a loving and devoted mother to Andrew Bonus (Kristi Wheeler) of Wattsburg, PA and Casey Abbruzzese of Zelienople, PA, and a cherished stepmother to Jacqueline Woodring and George Woodring III. Carol was a proud and loving grandmother to Isabella Abbruzzese, Alexandra Abbruzzese, Giovanni Abbruzzese, and Amelia Bonus.

She is survived by her siblings, Terry Lacock (Ed) of Washington, PA, Connie Kirschner of Columbus, OH, and Toni Passage (Ken) of Monessen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister Deb Lindsay, two nieces, and one nephew.

Carol deeply loved her family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and traveling. Alongside her husband, George, she shared a love of adventure that took them on 15 cruises together and allowed them to proudly visit all 50 states. She also dedicated many years of service working for DaVita Dialysis, where she was known for her commitment and compassion.

Friends and Family will be received on Saturday December 27, 2025 from 2:00 until the time of service at 4:00 pm,  at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

I have worked closely with Carol for many years at dialysis. I admired her for not being afraid to say what was on her mind to fight for the patient’s needs and for what was the right thing to do. She had a distinct laugh that was catching. You are loved and will be missed by many. Heartfelt prayers to George and the family.
