Carolyn L. Bigley, age 72, of Pittsburgh, passed away with family by her side on November 11, 2021.

Born on July 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Rose and George Harris.

Loving mother of Steven (Christine) Gimigliano and Sheri (Tina Bathory) Gimigliano; cherished grandma bud/gama of Morgan, Marissa and Michael Gimigliano, Quinn and Riley Bathory-Gimigliano; dear sister of Larry (Mary) Harris; aunt of Shawn (Sheila), Alan (Rowene), Kevin (Saranac), Stephanie, Jessica (Joe), Connie, and Tom (Rachel).

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Robert (Georgeann) Harris and Bette Vanzin.

Carolyn was a highly talented, phenomenal cook and baker.  She was a witty, selfless, hardworking woman who always put her family first. Carolyn retired from Verizon after a 31 year career.  During retirement, she enjoyed traveling, and later opening Granny C’s Cookies. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A memorial service will be held immediately to follow.
