Celeste J. Young, age 84, passed on June 20, 2020, of Robinson Township. Born on December 18, 1935 to Florence (Morrison) and Joseph Devenzio. Beloved wife of the late Richard Young. Proud mother of Bryan (Carol), David (Sheila), Rick, Darrell (Leslie), Donald (Concetta), Douglas and Corinna. Grandmother of David, Michael, Shane, Marla, Victoria, Jacen, Dalton, Brooklyn, Jacqueline, Julia and Janelle. Loving sister of the late Dolores (the late Dean) Lindley, Donald (Grace) Devenzio, Sandra (the late Robert) Tuszynski and the late Richard McNally.

Celeste was blessed with brains, beauty, talent and guts, utilizing them all to get the most out of every day and the most out of every cent. With the true love of her life, Richard, they made a nice life for their family. With hard work and faith in God, she raised a large family all while guiding them to live a life of putting God first. One of her favorite stories was the story of the Loaves and the Fishes, where Jesus has very little to work with but ends up making more than enough. Celeste lived her life serving God’s purpose through family, friends and countless others by giving of her time and boundless energy. She was a loyal, trusted friend to those in need. Her life was full of acts of selflessness. Celeste would always say that she wasn’t living for this life, but for the next. She lived a blessed and fruitful life under God’s good graces. And now she commends her spirit to Him. Celeste will be missed. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, June 25, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-9:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 26 at 10:00am at St. Malachy Church of Archangel Gabriel Parish 343 Forest Grove Road Kennedy Township, PA 15108.

Celeste was a fun-loving, a pilgrim traveler, a bible study companion, a party hostess, a fixer-upper, a mover and shaker, a daily communicant, a loyal friend, and a faith-filled disciple of the Lord. It was a beautiful, well-written obituary, summing up her 84 years of life in a few sentences. May she rest in peace and may her spirit live on in the countless lives she touched. Fr. Rich Jones, Chaplain UPMC Mercy
