Celestina Vienna Grischow

Celestina Vienna (Carradine) Grischow, 95

Celeste passed away peacefully Saturday August 1, 2026 at home surrounded by family and the support of her Bridges Hospice team.

Born November 8, 1930 in Berlin, PA, Celeste grew up in Ellsworth, Ohio and graduated from Canfield High School in 1947. A wonderful homemaker, loving mother, wife, aunt and friend, Celeste resided for most of her life in Austintown, OH working as a secretary for the Mahoning County Farm Bureau and then Thomas Pallotta and Sons Construction. She loved her church, cooking and baking for friends, reading, playing cards, swimming, doing crosswords and sitting with her animals listening to music. She also loved boating on Deep Creek Lake and communing with nature.

Celestina currently resided with her daughter Tiffany (Nils) Nolan in Venetia, PA and her daughter Corrine Grischow, also in Venetia, who were her caregivers. Besides her daughters, Celestina leaves behind her grandchildren Vienna Marie and Gavin Alain. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Elmer, who passed in 2009, her sister Mary Louise Pallotta and her brothers John and Frank Carradine.

Family and friends  are welcome for a viewing on Wednesday August 5, 2026  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Additonal veiwing on Thursday August 6, 2026 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm  at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.  Pastor Justin Schmidtfrom Peace Lutheran will be officiating. Luncheon to follow at 2:30.

Burial will take place Friday August 7, 2026 at North Jackson Cemetery in Ohio at 11:00 AM.
