Charles Dale Reesman, age 89, of Raccoon Township, peacefully went to be with our Lord on December 6, 2018. He was born on July 24, 1929, son of the late Evelyn Claypoole Bracken and Golden Everett Reesman, and is survived by his older sister Lois Stevens of Sparks, MD.  Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Hamill Reesman. Dale and Helen were loving parents to David Reesman of Tampa FL, Dianne (Brian) Palmer of McKees Rocks, and Donna (Tim) White of Coraopolis; “Pop” to Michael (Carrie) Palmer, Kristy (Ryan) Ford, Katie Palmer and Samuel, Rebecca, and Rachel White, and Great-Grandpop to Benjamin Palmer.  Dale is survived by his second wife, Eleanor Reesman of Freeport, PA and step-sons John (Marcie) Reesman and Jeff (Sheril) Reesman, along with step-grandchildren John Jr. (Tricia), Sarah and Lexie Reesman, and step-great-grandchildren Luke and Lucy, all of Freeport.

Dale served in the U.S. Air Force, working as an airplane electrical mechanic.  He completed seminary at the Bible Baptist Seminary in Texas and served the Lord all his life as an ordained Baptist minister, preaching at many churches over his lifetime wherever God called him to serve.  Dale also worked at Koppers Industries and operated an electron microscope. He was the owner of Reesman Farm Supply, LLC in Raccoon Twp. for over 60 years and the whole family loved to participate in tractor pulling at the local fairs.  Dale will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, generosity, love for people and love for God.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 12:00pm – 7:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Twp., PA 15136. On December 10, 2018, final respects will begin at 10:30am at the funeral home, followed by a Celebration of Dale’s Life at 11:00am at The Amor adjacent to the funeral home.  Please join the family for a memorial luncheon, also at The Amor.  A private family committal service will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Indiana, PA on December 11, 2018, where Dale will be laid to rest beside Helen.  Dale wholeheartedly believed in the Great Commission and the spread of the gospel through missions so in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to the Missions Team at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley PA 15143.

I am truly sorry for your loss. When we are faced with unbearable pain, we can find comfort in the hope found in the Bible. God promises to comfort us in all our trials. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) He promises that those who have fallen asleep in death will have the prospect of living forever in paradise. “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection.“ (Acts 24:15) There will be a resurrection, and those who are brought back will not worry about sickness, pain, or death. (Revelation 21:4) May this hope comfort your greiving hearts at this difficult time.

Our sincere sympathy in the loss of your Father. Although it has been many years since we have seen him, we know that he rests with your Mother in God's heavenly home where they both are at peace. Sincerely, Patricia (Gardiner) Smith Bechtold, Edward and Marlene (Smith) Gates.
