Charles Lyons Jr.

Charles Lyons Jr., 61, of Washington, passed away at the Donnell House in Washington, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 8, 1961, in Oakdale, a son of the late Charles Lyons, Sr. and Stella Marie Hoberek Lyons.

He was a 1979 graduate of Burgettstown High School and worked as a laborer for many years in the Burgettstown area.

Charles (affectionately known as Junior by his family and Chuckie by his close friends) was an avid KISS fan, he very much enjoyed listening to their music and collecting their memorabilia.

He is survived by his son, Scott Pond and step-son Patrick Varner; three grandchildren, Andrew Pond, Jada Pond, and Layton Herron; three sisters, Valerie Lyons, Rebecca Guta, and Janet Myers and husband Brian, nieces Jamie Bittner, Rachele Chechuck and husband Lenny, Cammey Singer, Brittany Harps and husband Daryl, Stephanie Spencer and husband Zechariah, and Leah Bruce; one nephew David Singer and 10 great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his niece, Erica Lynn Guta; and a great-nephew, Jayden Spencer.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 beginning at 2:00pm at the Knights of Columbus Pavilion in Burgettstown with the Pastor Kenneth Jacobs officiating.
