Growing up in Beechview on Pauline Ave with Butch and Lorrie was a wonderful time. Butch took us out on the river in Tidioute when they took me with them on vacation. Great memories. God Speed Butch. Prayers to your family.

So sorry that Charlie left us so soon. It was a pleasure to be your neighbors in Mt Lebanon! I'll remember Charlie for his love of wildlife, feeding the birds and squirrels, and our gardening talks!

My buddy Charlie .. a really good guy .. it’s with great sadness knowing my climbing partner is gone even with the embers of my memory still glowing inside me of all the adventures and tight spots we experienced together … it’s wasn’t exactly normal what we did but Charlie, the solid man he was, was a cherished normal to me and all who went to the rocks, mountains and rivers with him. I have a picture of him in my mind and heart being on rope leading the way waiting for me to tie in. I’m on belay brother, just got a few things left before I climb on with you. Bruce Cox
