Charles T. Rini

Charles Rini, age 90, passed on August 2, 2022 after a brief illness, closed his blue eyes on his terms. Born and raised in Garfield then later moved to Morningside. Father of Joanne (Tom) Moreau, Tommy (Linda) Rini, Karen (Donnie) Prevendoski and Patricia Rini. He was the youngest of 11 children, survived by sibling Margie Longo. Our Dad was a proud Korean War veteran and of his Italian heritage. Retired from A&P and Kaufmann’s as a baker. Avid baseball coach for Shadyside Boys Club and Morningside Baseball. He loved to play bocce at St. Raphael’s and was quite competitive. He was ready to dance to classic country music at all times! Grandfather of Brian, Danielle, Jimmy, Tommy Jr., and Talia Rose. Great-grand father of PO3 Ben, L/CPL Luc, Dylan, Lucas and the late Kelsey, who passed on the same date in 2010. Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township.
