Christopher Lee Meyers, 70, of Pittsburgh, passed away April 13, 2026.

Born July 11, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Chris was a husband, father, proud grandfather, lifelong handyman, and friend to many. He and his wife Lynn shared more than 46 years of marriage. As the father of his only child, Andrew Meyers, Chris’s greatest pride was his family—teaching his grandchildren, Alexandria and Benjamin, how to measure, paint, and fix anything around the house, sneaking treats to the family pets, and savoring their time together.

Chris grew up in Mt. Washington before moving with his family to Mt. Lebanon. He was one of five children. For 18 years, he served as president of the Beadling Club and bartended for over 30 years, making friends and memories that lasted a lifetime. He was an avid fisherman who looked forward each year to the annual fishing trip, and his favorite season was Christmas, when the family carried on the tradition of cutting the tree at Hozak Farms. You could often find him with a Coors Light in hand and a ready smile, always wanting the best for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret (Bentz) Meyers; brother Walter “Buddy” Meyers (Julie); and sister Linda Beery (Quinter). He is survived by his wife, Lynn Meyers; his son, Andrew Meyers, and daughter-in-law, Lauren, of Pittsburgh; his beloved grandchildren, Alexandria and Benjamin; sister Janet (Mick) Paul; brother David Meyers (Robin); and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial to celebrate Chris’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared soon with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.

Chris’s family asks that those who knew him celebrate the warmth, laughter, and practical wisdom he shared with everyone lucky enough to be in his life. He continued to share his sense of humor and signature sarcasm through his final days—something those who loved him will never forget.

Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
