Clare Mary Trautman, age 88 of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022. Born on January 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth McDermott. Beloved wife to the late Alfred Trautman, Sr. Loving mother to Alfred Trautman, Jr., Janet Slepski, David Trautman, and Patricia Scarpaci. Cherished grandmother to Kimberly Griffiths, Kevin Bryan, Kristie Bryan, Benjamine Slepski, Aryn (Tim) Madden, Tara Long, Stephen Long, Nico Scarpaci, Enzo Scarpaci, David Trautman, Jr., Cory Trautman, Raymond Foor, and Debbie Haley. Loving great grandmother to Kolton Bryan and Karson Lardo, Michael Homza, Damien Griffiths, Cameron, Abel and Ava Haley, Davey Trautman and 4 others. She is also survived by her twin sister, Rose Offen. Clare was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

Clare was a Licensed Practical Nurse and she worked many years on the Orthopedic Unit at Allegheny General Hospital. Clare enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows, and reading. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2 PM – 8 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clare’s name to The Wounded Warrior Project.

Deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Clare for many at Allegheny General Hospital. Clare was good person and a hard worker. Sorry for your loss.

Mom, I love you so much. I know how lonely you felt for dad. Without him you were half of a whole. I know you have been reunited with him and are so happy and no longer suffering. You said you would watch over us all and I am holding you to this. This is not goodbye but only until I see you again in Heaven. Pray for me mom.
