A wonderful friend that we will miss. We have not been together much in recent years. But my memories of trips to Disney World and canoe outings to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Northern Minnesota will be always with us. Our love and sympathy to his family

The best co-worker and friend…had a sharp sense of humor and a huge heart. Rick always had my morning cup of Joe waiting for me atop my desk at CONSOL…a great man. Rest in peace, Rick.

Rick was great, always with a simile and a positive attitude no matter what obstacles he faced. He enjoyed making fun of me on anything and everything and I enjoyed being the butt of his jokes. He would always end his jokes with that West Virginia folksy logic and make his jab at me even funnier. We used to shoot a lot of pool, he was really good, I never beat him and he let me know it. I wish I would have made more of an effort to keep in touch with him. I guess a life lesson learned. A great guy, he will be missed.

Rick was the best co-worker anyone could ever hope to work with during their career and a great friend and golfing buddy. He had the best one liners of anyone I knew and always kept everyone laughing. He was always upbeat and was generous with his time helping anyone out with house repairs or any project that needed an extra hand. We talked on yearly phone calls to catch up on retirement time and I used to spend more time laughing than talking. He was the best of anyone I’ve ever known and I will miss him. Have a great journey my friend.
