Farewell my Brother and fellow Knight. You will be missed. Until we gather again in that spiritual temple...

I came to meet "Ski" when I reported to the USS Thomas S Gate in December, 1987. We were shipmates first, which evolved into a great relationship with our time onboard the "Tommy G." His demeanor at first was intimidating, but once you "broke the ice" you sensed a gentle, caring, considerate, patriotic human being. He was a man who was compassionate about his wife, his kids and his country. I am very fortunate to have been able to call him a friend. I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ wraps His loving arms of comfort around his family who thought so much of him and those of us who have been fortunate to call him "Friend" or "Shipmate". Fair winds and following seas big man!

He was one of the best men to walk this earth and I had the privilege to know and love him. Connie and her family are part of mine as much as my own family, possibly more so. I wish them all the happiest memories that they have to share. I will miss him greatly for his sense of humor and galentry. He had a personality like no one I have ever meant and I will miss him forever. I pray he is with his mother and others who have gone before him rejoicing in the light of GOD. Love you Dave.
