David M. Williams

David M. Williams, of Pittsburgh, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.  He was 78 years old.  He was married to Linda Bender Williams for 56 years.  Dave was the father of Lisa Gwen Williams Dakis (George), Scott David Williams (Melissa) and Jody Williams Mawhinney (James).  His grandchildren include Sarah and Adam  Hershberger and step-grandchildren Andrew, Jacob and Samuel Mawhinney.  He was the son of Glenn M. and Vivian Wolfe Williams, brother of Thomas G. Williams (Margaret) and the uncle of Matthew G. Williams (Sharon) and the late Carrie E. Williams.  A memorial service of worship will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15202.  Visitation will be at 10:00 am at the church.  Memorial contributions can be made to United Mitochondrial Disease foundation, 8085 Saltsburg Road, Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15239 in honor of great nephew Ben Williams or the Community Presbyterian Church Deacon Fund.
