David P. Gardner, age 63 of Washington, PA passed away on October 1, 2022 due to an ongoing heart condition. Born on September 18, 1959, he was the son of the late Ellen and Howard Gardner, Sr. Beloved husband of Linda Gardner for 41 years. Loving father of Megan (Ben) Rhoades and Natalie (Matthew) Florian. Cherished Pappy of Emma and Lucas Florian. Loving brother of Cathy (Bill) Huckestein and Howard (Sheila) Gardner, Jr and uncle of Brandon (Megan) Gardner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda (surviving Dennis) Ross. David will also be dearly missed by his dogs, Charlie, Buck and Max.

David loved his RV and his truck and enjoyed camping and boating. He enjoyed trains and made billboards for Retro Lionel train tracks. David was an animal lover and cherished the time he spent with his pets and family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society or ASPCA.

So sorry to hear of David's passing. He struggled for a long time with health issues. It was always a pleasure talking with him at marching band events, orchestra concerts or various picnics and get togethers. He leaves a legacy of a loving and beautiful family. I'll miss you Dave. Linda,Megan, and Natalie, I am so sorry for yourself loss. I hope your memories of all the good times give you peace and know how much your father loved both you girls. I will never forget him being so emotional at your wedding megan, and how he really got down and danced with you and the guests. He always made the best pulled pork I ever had every year at octoberfest! Remember all the good times at band and family get togethers and know that he is finally without pain.
