Debra R. Weitzel

Debra R. Weitzel, 70, of Squirrel Hill, formerly of Bloomfield passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022. She is the daughter of the late Randolph Beverage and Juanita Gentry. She is survived by her daughter April Weitzel, granddaughter Sophia Magliocco, and partner John Zappa.

Debra (Debbie) had the gift of gab, a quick wit, and could talk to anyone. She made a warm lasting impression on the people she met and enjoyed getting to know new people. She never forgot anyone’s name and never met a stranger. Debbie loved music, concerts, and dancing. She was a lifelong supporter of human rights, especially women’s rights and instilled in her daughter and granddaughter how important it is to vote.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
