Denise J. Yost

Denise J. Yost, 68, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Geraldine E. Mellin (neé Wallis), of Erie, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and eventually earned her nursing license. She worked as both a nurse and a pharmacist technician, where her bubbly kindness and empathy endeared her to patients and customers alike. She loved the work she did, but even more, she loved being a mother. She spent much of her life dedicated to her family, and she was well-liked by everyone she met. She adored animals of all kinds and could often be found cuddling with her cats, Minnie and Chloe. Denise was a beloved mother, wife and friend, and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sister, Darlene Lewandowski, 65, of Albion, her husband Richard, 64 of Mill Village and her two daughters: Jessica Kent, 31 of Kennedy Township, Pennsylvania and Ashley Kent, 33 of Inez, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary or the ANNA Shelter of Erie, PA, or to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Denise.
