Denise Marie (Strawn) Hayes

Denise Marie (Strawn) Hayes, 58 of Amity, Pa formerly of Washington, Pa passed away on September 1, 2022. Beloved Wife of Pete Morris. Born on July 14th 1964, in Washington, Pa she is the Daughter of the Virginial L. Strawn and the late Edwin L.  Strawn. Loving Mother of Jacquelyn Marie Hayes and John Edwin Morris. Sister of Stacy Marie Strawn.

Denise knew she wanted to be a nurse since she was a child. She attended Washington Hospital School of Nursing after graduating from Immaculate Conception High School, and never looked back. She was a natural caregiver and touched countless lives. She cared for her patients, her co-workers and especially her family. She will be greatly missed until we all meet again.

Denise loved to cook and bake. She got joy seeing others enjoying her food. She prepared all of the holiday meals for the family. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She loved her red Jeep and going to the beach.

At the family’s request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724)-260-5546.
