Dennis “Denny” L. Sell

Dennis “Denny” L. Sell, 72, of Scott Township, formerly of Dormont, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2024.

Denny was the son of the late Betty Jane Sell, beloved brother of Sandy Baker, Betty Jo (Bob) Buechel, and Sharleen (Kent) Miller, cherished and loved uncle of Sandell Baker. Also uncle to  Aaron Buechel, Justin Buechel, Devin Buechel, Nikolas Miller, and Ryan Miller, dear nephew of Joanne Houston and Uncle to his furry “little buddy” Pepe.

Denny retired from a career at US Steel / Aristech Chemical and was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #76. He loved to fish, hunt, golf, and bowl in his free time. Denny was an avid Steelers fan who spent many years hosting Steelers tailgate parties and picnics for his family and friends. He had many lifelong faithful friends, and he will never be forgotten.

Memoral contributions can be made to South Hills Pet Rescue in South Park, PA.

A private family and friends Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.

I am so sorry to hear about Denny. My god I haven’t seen him in so long I didn’t know he was sick. We had so many incredible times together and I’m sorry life got in the way. I’m terribly sorry!

Mikey and I are devastated to hear this. Our hearts break for you all. He was a one of a kind in every way. Special and loving to the core. The world will forever miss his spirit. So many amazing memories that we have include Denny. We will celebrate his life by retelling all of the “Denny-isms” and share the laughter that he brought to all of us. We love you, Denny 💙
