Dennis Fonzi “Fummer,” age 66 of Baldwin formerly of Hazelwood, went home to meet his Lord and Savior on September 27, 2022.

He was the son of the late Adeline and Patrick Fonzi.

Beloved husband of Heidi Pido Fonzi; loving father of Karissa Fonzi, Laura (Matt) Fastuca and Jennifer Kochan; step father to David Pallof Jr. and Brittni (Daryl Goodwin) Pallof; Pappy of Carmela “Mena” and Jovanni “JoBoy;” dear brother of Patricia (Danny) Renziehausen and the late Ronald (surviving: Josie) Fonzi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and his special puppy Sophie.

Denny loved playing the drums and was known as “Fummer the Drummer” when he started his career at  Bishop Boyle High School. He played with multiple bands, and ended his last gig at North Way Christian Community – Dormont as he played for Jesus.  He was a true Christian man, holding Bible studies at home and regularly played drums in the church worship group. Most of all he had a passion for cooking and bringing his family together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per Denny’s request, there will be no viewing. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11 am at North Way Christian Community – Dormont, 2865 Espy Ave., Dormont, PA 15216.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Way Christian Community c/o Year End Giving Autism Ministry.

I knew Denny for a few years. I met him over zoom for our bible study group on zoom. He was a very awesome individual. He’ll be sadly missed by friends and family especially his widow Heidi and children and grandchildren. He went too early but early enough for him to go be with Jesus. No more suffering from pancreatic cancer. Jesus gained a angel. Hope to see him again someday down the road long time from now.
