Diane (Garland) Zahn

Diane (Garland) Zahn, age 76, of North Fayette and formerly of Elliott passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Beloved wife of the late David R. Zahn. Born on January 4, 1947 in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Matthew A. Garland and Julia A. D’Ippolito. Loving mother of Denine A. (Allen) Ziegler and Dana L. (Timothy) Hopkins; cherished grandmother of Jordan D. Ziegler, Bethany M. (Rafael) Rivera and Baleigh D. Hopkins; great-grandmother of Araya, Rafael III, and Genoveva Rivera; sister of late Carmen Garland, Janet (Nick) Goven, late Julie Garland, late Mathew A. Garland, late Gary J. Garland, late Ronald G. Garland, Jean M. (James) Gilmore and Loraine L. Garland; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Diane worked as a staff accountant for 40+ years. In addition, she worked on several committees and volunteered with other organizations as well. Diane enjoyed her camp life at Plantation Park in Mercer, PA. Some of her other hobbies and interest include walking on the beach while looking for shark teeth, sunbathing, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. Diane truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and living out her faith daily by reading her Bible.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136, where a funeral service will also be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 10:00am. Interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery 6033 Lemington Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15206. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital www.stjude.org
