Doris Hirth Weisenbacher

Doris Hirth Weisenbacher, age 87 of McMurray, PA formerly of Mt Lebanon, PA and Mount Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born on July 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Wilma Hirth. Beloved wife to the late Ernest J. Weisenbacher. Loving mother to Jay (Gayle) Schwarz and Heidi (Bryan) Krueger. Cherished grandmother to Cole and John-Henry Krueger. Step-mother to Janice Kroffe and Lee Weisenbacher Step -grandmother to Bill Woodside, Mark Kroffe, Kerry Kroffe, Lesley Weisenbacher, Noel Weisenbacher, and Nancy Weisenbacher. Cherished sister to Margie (Tony) Liberati and Carol Davis. Loving aunt to Dayna DiRenzo, Carla Brandon, Lisa Vith, Eddie Koch, Kathy St. Germain, Leslie Foumberg, Bobby Koch and Harold White and the late Christine White.

Doris and her sisters sang on radio and TV in the early years here in Pittsburgh as the Wilkinettes. She was a graduate of South Hills High School. Doris was the Learn to Skate Director at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center for 40 years and a founding member of the Mt. Lebanon Indoor Tennis Association.

There will be an immediate private burial, but a Celebration of Life memorial service and luncheon will be held in late March. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Skating Club of Mt. Lebanon, Care of Mary Abercrombie, 249 Shiloh Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15202.

Although it has been many years since I saw my "Nanny Do", she and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers. The world has lost a tremendous individual, Heaven has gained another angel for the choir. Bill, Shawn, Tabetha Woodside and Erin Dassie.
