And here I thought I was going to a funeral to console a family member. As it turned out I was taken aback to find out how much Dale valued my friendship which made MY day. The feeling was mutual. Although it was never said to each other, we were friends, the kind of friendship that only a comfortable silence can confirm. See you on the other side my friend.

Mom it’s been a couple years now and I miss you so much! I miss talking to you on my way home from work. The stories you would tell about family and friends were wonderful. I also miss playing Rummy, Yahtzee, and watching you jiggle your ice in glass of Diet Coke. Mom you are no longer trapped in that bed… you now have wings and freedom to visit those who are no longer here. I will join you someday and what a reunion that will be. Love you always and forever!!
