Dorothy L. Setto

Dorothy L. Setto, age 68, of Bethel Park, passed away unexpectedly with family by her side on May 5, 2023.

Born on February 2, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Dorothy Silhanek Kacvinsky.

Beloved wife of Anthony J. Setto, who would have celebrated their 45th anniversary in June. Loving mother of Mary C. (the late Chad) DiMatteo and A.J. (Alyssa) Setto. cherished grandmother of Enzo DiMatteo and Este Setto; dear sister of the late Stevan “Butch” (surviving Jeanette) Kacvinsky; and aunt of Carly and Cassandra.

Dorothy was a selfless teacher, teaching elementary education and piano to both children and adults.  She enjoyed reading, going to the beach and planting in her garden.  She always baked, cooked and entertained for the holidays, her favorite being Christmas. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, Pa 15317, 724-260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 12:30 pm at St. Catherine Labouré- St. Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
