Douglas James Cancilla

Douglas James Cancilla, 71, died March 11, 2023 after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 24, 1952, in Canonsburg, PA, the son of Frank and Thelma (Pallette) who are deceased.

Doug was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School. He also attended Valley Forge Christian College.

In 1981, he married his wife of 42 years, Janice Lynne Cancilla (Craig). Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters; Erin Kimberly Hancher(Mitchell) and Angela Jean Taylor; grandchildren, Nicholas Tyler Hancher (Becca), Samuel Lane Taylor, and Cara Lynne Taylor; sisters, Jacqueline Rizor (Richard) and Lois Yost (Mark), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Doug was a cobbler most of his life both in Washington, PA as well as in Hopewell, VA. He loved studying the Bible and had special interest in biblical prophecy as it relates to current events.

Final arrangements are being handled by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
