Dustan Shawn (Dusty) Wood

Dustan Shawn (Dusty) Wood on October 31, 2022, Dusty went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ. A lifelong resident of Washington, Pa. who was born with Cerebral Palsy. Dusty was cared for by his family until his twenties. Then lived 36 years at Bellmead Apartments with the help of many caregivers throughout the years. So many things most of us can do daily was a hard task or impossible for Dusty. He seldom complained even being disabled. Much of his life was in a wheelchair. In April his mother, Cassandra Lee Brytus (Sandy) Wood Marflak, went to be with the Lord and Dusty was not the same since. Wonderful care was given to him for eleven months until his passing at Southmont Presbyterian Care. Dusty could get along with anyone and had a joyful spirit up until the last days.
We are grateful to the Lord for the many caregivers throughout his life. He was blessed to be at Southmont Presbyterian Care. All there gave Dusty excellent care with love. The Lord bless you all. Thank you also Amedisys Hospice for your presence during his last days.
He will be greatly missed by his sister, Ronna Stewart, brother, Deron Wood, his uncle Bob Brytus, many relatives and a step-father Daniel R. Marflak.
At the request of family there will be no visitation service.
