E. Catherine Loughman Breitweiser “Kate”, age 89, of Bethel Park formerly of South Park, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 28, 2022.
Born on September 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Mae and J. Frank Loughman.
Loving mother of Richard (Char) Breitweiser and Elaine (Jim) Hixon; cherished grandmother Brittany (Ryan) Hetrick, Jessica (Mike) Schreiber, Sean Hixon and Megan Hixon; great grandmother of Ben, Evan, Mackenzie and Zach; and dear sister of Eleanor “Red” Grubby, David Loughman, Happy Hennon, George Loughman, the late John Loughman and Florence “Flo” Six.
Kate had a love for her career as a nurse. She graduated from South Side Nursing School, receiving her license in 1954, working at St. Clair Hospital and Fatigati Nalin Associates. After working 58 years, she retired in 2012 at the age of 80. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all knew and loved her.
Per Kate’s wishes private memorial service will be held.
