Earl C. McNary, age 74, of Washington, PA, passed away at home with his wife and daughters by his side on April 15, 2023.

He was born on May 5, 1948 to the late Helena and Samuel McNary in Canonsburg, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy. Thereafter, he was a devoted employee of Anderson Equipment in Bridgeville, PA for 47 years, first as a mechanic and later as service manager.

Earl is survived and missed by his wife, Beverly McNary, of 49 years; his children, Kristina (Tim) Patterson and Stephanie McNary; his granddaughter, Samantha Patterson; his brother, Ronald McNary; and his dog, Cooper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Rutan, Norma Thomas, Virginia Brilla, Patty McNary and Barbara Spiller.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He was an avid fan of both Nascar and the Steelers. For 14 years, he spent the majority of his summers at the TWIST softball fields where he coached both of his daughters (Tina for 6 years and Steph for 8 years). During that time, he also sat on TWIST council as field maintenance director. He was thrilled when his granddaughter, Sam continued the tradition and began playing softball years later. Even with Sam living in Virginia Beach, he never missed one game as you could always find him in front of the television or tablet watching the livestream and rooting her on.

After he retired, Bev and Earl worked hand and hand creating many wood crafts for family and friends.

To many of his family and friends, he was the handyman who knew how to fix almost anything.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 3-5 pm with a service to follow at 5 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TWIST Softball, c/o 274 Hickory Hollow Road,

Amity, PA 15311 or Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, 390 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, PA 15301.

Earl was truly a very special man. I worked with him at Anderson and enjoyed hearing his stories and seeing his smile every day. Earl could absolutely fix anything and he had no ego or attitude, just a friendly demeanor. Rest in peace my friend. You will truly be remembered by so many.
