Edith Ann Chilzer

Edith Ann “Edie” Chilzer passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 15, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on September 27, 1959, in Allenport, Pennsylvania, Edie will be remembered for the love she shared, the kindness she showed to everyone she met, and the many cherished memories she created with her family and friends throughout her life.

Among her greatest joys were taking cruises with her sister, niece, and son, as well as traveling to South Carolina to spend time with her daughter and beloved grandchildren. Those moments brought her immense happiness and created memories that will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Shannon and son-in-law, Eric Shannon; her sons, George Chilzer Jr. and Anthony Chilzer; her grandchildren, Connor Shannon and Hailey Shannon; her sisters, Sandy Duricic, Bonnie Lester, and Kathryn Obitko; her best friend and niece, Sandy Falsis; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and neighbors.

Edie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Chilzer Sr.; her mother, Mildred Eileen Wolfe; her father, Richard Curtis Wolfe; and her sister, Beatrice

Edie’s life was a gift to all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

In accordance with her wishes, no public visitation or memorial services will be held. Her family encourages those who knew and loved Edie to honor her memory in their own way and to cherish the time spent with family and friends.
