Edward “Eddie” Belfiore of Houston, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 89.
Ed was born September 7, 1934, to the late Victor and Madeline (Borella) Belfiore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Raymond, and Larry Belfiore; and three sisters, Mary Volorich, Cecelia Petras, and Eleanor Langer. He is survived by his sister, Agnes Belfiore.
He graduated from Cecil High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He later retired from the Washington East Washington Joint Authority.
Ed is survived by the love of his life, Nancy Belfiore (Whitmer) whom he was married to for 61 years. They shared 3 daughters, Amy (Mike) Filosi, Carrie McGowan, and Jennifer Deems. He was the proud grandfather of Steven Caldwell, Colton Deems, Gianna Filosi, and Nico Filosi.
He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool with his buddies. He was also a huge Pittsburgh Penguins and Elvis Presley fan.
Ed was a true family man. His favorite moments consisted of spending time with them playing cards, playing games, and making memories in Deep Creek, Maryland. No matter the activity, one thing remained the same – They were all led by love and laughter.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
