Edward Snyder, 68, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026.

Edward was a devoted husband of 46 years to Joyce, a proud father to Jennifer and Edward Jr, and a cherished grandfather to Madison and Johnny. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved beyond measure. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for and support his family, never hesitating to put their needs before his own. His love was shown not only in his words but in the countless sacrifices he made every day.

Edward was a lifelong Pittsburgh resident and dedicated his life to his family and his work. Beginning his career as an auto mechanic at just 15 years old, he spent more than five decades doing what he loved. He was known for his strong work ethic, his honesty, and his unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Edward believed in doing everything by the book, treating everyone with kindness and respect, and always standing by what was right.

Edward also had a lifelong passion for classic cars, combining his love of mechanics with an appreciation for timeless craftsmanship. Whether he was working under the hood or sharing stories with family and friends, he found joy in the simple things and in the people he loved most.

Edward will be remembered as a man of integrity, compassion, humility, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of so many through his generosity, fairness, and genuine care for others. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave so freely, and the countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Though his presence is no longer with us, his example, his love, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm on Wednesday July 22, 2026 at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

To Eddie’s family and friends, I am very sorry for your loss. Eddie was always so very helpful and reliable. He was always a huge help to me when I was having car problems. It was reassuring that I was dealing with someone who was trustworthy. He was always trying to explain to me what was wrong and what he was going to do to fix it which was way beyond my comprehension. He even tried to show me the broken car parts. Really just a super honest guy. May he rest in eternal peace. With Deepest Sympathy, Jareen
