Edward T. Karsin

Edward T. Karsin, age 81, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Robinson Township, PA passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  By his side were his long-term companion, Mary Ann Kilgore, and his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and John Brezarich.

Beloved son of the late Theodore J. Karsin and the late Ann Kostik Karsin;  Beloved husband of the late Mary Lou Karsin; Survived by Mary Ann Kilgore; Father of Sheryl (Louis) Longobardi, Donald (Dena) Karsin, Kristyn Karsin (Hank Chavez) and Tammy (Nate) Buffington. Cherished grandfather of the late Joseph Longobardi, Nicholas Longobardi, Leanna Longobardi, Kaitlyn (Zach) Weismann, Alan Hartwick (fiancé Taylor Rezzetano), Corey Weir, and Nathan Daniel Buffington. Great grandfather of Ava Mae Hartwick.  Loving brother of Karen (John) Brezarich and the late Donald M. Karsin.

Ed proudly served in Korea along the DMZ as a member of the United States Air Force from 1957-1961.

At an early age Ed developed an interest in electronics and became a ham radio operator.  This eventually led to a long career as an Electronic Technology Instructor where he retired from Taylor Alderdice High School in 1997.

After retirement, he traveled extensively and had a passion for connecting with people from all over the world.

Family and friends received for visitation on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2:00-6:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 12:00pm at Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, Kennedy Township.  Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
