Eileen Mary (Sansotta) Hess

  • On May 7, 2021

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eileen Mary (Sansotta) Hess, 72, our loving wife, mother, Nana and friend on May 6, 2021 with the love of her family surrounding her.

Eileen was born on April 2, 1949 to Joseph and Helen (Lempicke) Sansotta. After graduating from Brentwood High School in 1967, she went on to marry her love, Regis V. Hess, Jr.

Eileen held many jobs, acquired multiple certifications and worked endless hours in numerous fields throughout her life. There is nothing she could not do. Despite all she did and learned – a career was not her focus – family was. Eileen was a dedicated mother first and foremost.

Mother of Tracie (Tim) Sohyda, Denise (Tom) Boes, Nana of Anthony and Delaney Boes and Alyvia and Luke Sohyda – is who she devoted her life.

When not working or spending time with her children, Eileen was an avid trapshooter, with her husband along-side her. One of her proudest accomplishments was when she shot a 199/200 targets in Elysburg, PA and has been awarded numerous trophies and awards for High Lady recognition countless times in both 16-yard and Handicap events. Friendships she made with all those she shared this pastime are some of her dearest.

Eileen will be missed by many, including her cousin, Edward Lempicke whom she loved very much, numerous brother and sister in laws, nephews and nieces.

All services are being entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care in McMurray, PA and will be private for immediate family as per her wishes.

Friends wishing to honor Eileen are invited to make donations in her name to either National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
