Elizabeth Louise “Betty Lou” Mooney

Elizabeth Louise “Betty Lou” Mooney age 90 of Mt. Lebanon, PA passed away peacefully May 23, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late William H. Mooney, Jr.

Born on February 29, 1928 in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Mary and Robert Joyce.

Loving mother of Pamela A. McDermott, Claudia M. (Bill) Roberts and Christopher W. (Barbara) Mooney; cherished grandmother of Michael, Alexa, Melissa, Patrick, Matthew, Rebecca, Samantha and Miranda; adored great grandmother of Cassidy, Evelyn, Ronan and Caelan; dear sister of Mary Jane Paquette and Jack Joyce; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Betty’s prime interest was loving her family and friends and being actively involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives.  Outside of that, she loved to sing, dance, travel, eat good food and shop!  She was also an animal lover and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially loving our Buccos and Steelers.  By her example, she taught all of us how to love with our whole hearts.  Betty’s beautiful soul will be greatly missed here on Earth but her spirit lives on in all of us who loved her.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Blvd, Scott Township, PA 15243.  A family gathering will take place to following her Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
