Elizabeth M. Scaletto

Elizabeth M. Scaletto, age 94, of Pittsburgh, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Born on June 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Sophia and John Nogrady. Beloved wife of the late David C. Scaletto; loving mother of David J. Scaletto and Jan Randolph; grandmother of Liz (Chris) Arnal; great-grandmother of Adrianna and Tyler. Survived by her siblings, Irene Janesko and Alfred Nogrady,  neices, Lorrie Nogrady and Margie Rumble, and nephews, Brian Nogrady and Mike Kubalak.

Betty enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, bingo and playing cards. She was a great cook and an avid Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers fan. She was so proud to be a grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty was a 20 year surviver of breast cancer and will always be remembered as a fighter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

At the request of the family, all services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for breast cancer research.
