Emma Jean Horwatt of Canonsburg passed away at home peacefully. She was born daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet Oliverio on July 4th (“a fire cracker”). She was the wife of the late William Horwatt.

Emma was employed for many years at the RCA Company (Tac Tech), Giant Eagle and Food Gallery. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She loved people and animals and tried to make people laugh. She asked to be remembered by her kindness and friendship to many and if she made you laugh or smile along the way.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her devoted sister, Debby Oliverio (who she made her home) and pets. Casey and Belle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins. Emma wanted to give a special thank you to the hospice nurses and staff, especially Devin, Shannon and Joyce who were so kind and gave great support to her and Debby.

In addition to her parents are deceased two sisters, Lucille Leffer and Kathryn “Kelly Donella” and brothers John and Sam.

At the request of Emma and due to COVID, there will be no viewing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
